Pamela A. Proscia is currently an adjunct assistant professor at Hunter College, City University of New York (CUNY), and supervising graduate Teaching Fellow candidates in special education classrooms. Her research interests include the arts as social activism and community engagement, health and wellness, and cultural studies. She is a certified Jin Shin Jyutsu practitioner, an art of energy balancing, and has worked with many people afflicted with cancer and other critical illnesses. She is the founder and director of The Musical Seeds Project: Intersections of Ecology, Music, and Dance which brings together diverse ethnic communities in public spaces to share their knowledge and explore traditional cultural practices related to the use and cultivation of heritage plants.
