Marly Porto
Marly Porto is a Master’s
candidate in Universidade de São Paulo’s
Aesthetics and Art History Postgraduate Program, with a B.A. in “Art: History,
Criticism and Curatorship” (PUC-SP, 2012). Member of Unibes Cultural’s curatorship team, coordinating a monthly
exhibition dedicated to works by contemporary photographers. Recipient of São
Paulo State Culture Secretariat’s 2016 award to create editorial publication
“Eduardo Salvatore’s role as an
articulator of photo-clubs in the State of São Paulo”. Responsible for
organizing seminars “The Image:
analytical and transdisciplinary aspects” (2015), bringing Geoffrey
Kantaris and Fredi Casco, and “The
abduction of image: appropriations in contemporary photography” (2013),
featuring Oscar Muñoz and David Evans.
