About the event

All Graduate Center and CUNY community is invited for an informal gathering in the James Gallery with artist Kimberly Tate.

Please register here in advance to secure a spot.

Together, we will participate in, experience, and discuss artist Kimberly Tate's embodied practice, considering how her new methods may inform our own work in unexpected ways. We will activate Tate's site-specific installation in the exhibition We Are Beside Ourselves and discuss the evolution of her practice as it relates to developing and caring for community.

The entire CUNY community is welcome. This includes all people working in all jobs across the CUNY campuses. Those who are working with or interested in embodied practices of research are encouraged to attend this workshare. We hope to use time together to move and expand our understanding of how learning and sharing is enacted among our diverse areas.

Participants are encouraged to dress comfortably.

The event is a project of the James Gallery Fragility and Possibilities of "We" Seminar and Wall of Inquiry in the exhibition We Are Beside Ourselves.
