Roberto Conduru
Professor of Art History at the Rio de Janeiro State University, Roberto Conduru was Visiting Professor at the Southern Methodist University, in Dallas (2014), Guest Scholar at the Getty Research Institute, in Los Angeles (2012), former president of the Brazilian Committee of Art History (2007-2010). Among other books, he published Pérolas Negras – Primeiros Fios (2013), and Arte Afro-Brasileira (2007). Among other shows, he curated Incorporation – Afro-Brazilian Contemporary Art at La Centrale Electrique, in Brussels (2011), and is co-curating Axé Bahia – the Power of Art in an Afro-Brazilian Metropolis, to be presented in the Fowler Museum UCLA, in Los Angeles, from September 2017.
