Robert Perkinson

Robert Perkinson is a professor of history at the University of Hawaii at Manoa and the author of Texas Tough: The Rise of a Prison Empire, a history of imprisonment, race, and politics from slavery to the present, which won the PEN nonfiction prize in 2011.
