Krystina François is a first-generation Haitian-American pursuing a PhD in Political Science from the CUNY Graduate Center, where she studies Black immigrants, diaspora politics and global cities. Krystina is passionate about documenting the political participation of Black immigrants through oral history archives. She founded Diasporic Minds, a platform that provides strategic advising, policy analysis, and innovative political education. Krystina has worked as the Founding Executive Director at the Miami-Dade County Office of New Americans, Co-Directors of Communities United for Status and Protection, and has served as Co-Director of Law for Black Lives. She has won several awards for community leadership and advocacy.
