Kirsten Gill

Lost & Found Archival Research Fellow

Kirsten Mairéad Gill is a Ph.D. student in the Art History department at the CUNY Graduate Center. Her research looks at liberation practices in moving image. In the past she has held curatorial positions at Dia Art Foundation, the ICA Philadelphia, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and presented projects at Dia (with the Hammer Museum and Electronic Arts Intermix), Wendy’s Subway, Biquini Wax EPS, the James Gallery, and numerous galleries and artist-run spaces in Philadelphia. She has contributed writing to Journal of Cinema and Media Studies, Nka: Journal of Contemporary African Art, Title Magazine, Island Island, and to publications by the Whitney, the Arlington Museum of Contemporary Art, and others. Currently a Writing Across the Curriculum Fellow at Medgar Evers College, she has taught at City College and the NYC College of Technology.
