Why are you excited to be part of this fellowship?

I am excited to be part of this fellowship because I want to know more about environmental policies and community organizations that impact disadvantaged communities. Environmental injustice can be fought through local politics and involved advocacy efforts, which I am looking forward to contributing to during my time with the Climate Justice Hub.

What climate justice issue is most important to you and why?

The climate justice issue of industrial pollution is most important to me because the air pollutants emitted by large corporations have detrimental lasting impacts on low-income communities of color. Due to political negligence, those who live in environmental justice areas face higher mortality rates and are more vulnerable to poor mental health.
