Iziar De Miguel

Iziar De Miguel is a sixth-year doctoral student in French at the Graduate Center. She studied Foreign Applied Languages and Translation in the École Supérieure de Traduction (ESIT, Sorbonne–Nouvelle), and worked as a professional editor and translator in Paris for almost 20 years. Iziar is currently working on a dissertation about detective novels. She worked in Paris for 18 years as a professional editor and translator for museums, publishing houses such as Larousse and Clé international, and cultural institutions such as the Institut Français. She also worked as Content and Translation Manager before cofounding a translation company in Paris. Before coming to New York, she lived in Basque Country in Spain, in France, and in Morocco.
