Envisioning creative solutions for affordable urban dwelling systems requires innovative processes that bring together residents, designers, social service providers. How do social service projects conceived in this way carve a new relationship with the humanities that may redefine the category of the humanities itself? Join Nancy Biberman (founder, WHEDco) and Susan Saegert (Environmental Psychology, The Graduate Center) for a conversation about Women’s Housing and Economic Development Corporation, a model non-profit organization focused on affordable housing.

This lecture is part of the “Common Goods: Exploring Innovative Transitions Series” presented in connection with the Decolonizing Architecture Art Residency exhibition on view in the James Gallery from March 14 to June 2, 2012.
