About the event

Join artists Agnes Christina and Jodie Lyn-Kee-Chow for a conversation moderated by Humanities Alliance Fellow Joned Suryatmoko (Ph.D. Program in Theatre and Performance) as part of the exhibition Textures of Feminist Perseverance at the James Gallery CUNY Graduate Center.

The artwork of Agnes Christina and Jodie Lyn-Kee-Chow is the starting point for this discussion about how women’s daily experiences contribute to social public spheres by fostering the politics of solidarity in an internationalist spirit. These two artists work through their own hybrid transnational identities in relation to political realities through material art practices with fabric, drawing, and performance.

Co-Sponsored by Teaching and Learning Center, Humanities Alliance, CUNY Graduate Center.
