“To articulate the past historically,” wrote Walter Benjamin, “does not mean to recognize it ‘the way it really was’…it means to seize hold of a memory as it flashes up in a moment of danger.” With Benjamin’s Theses on the Concept of History in mind, this tour will interrogate how the exhibition space seizes hold, slows or even halts objects in motion.
