Ugeita Tewari is a long-time resident of Richmond Hill, Queens and a graduate of Borough of Manhattan Community College CUNY. She will complete her undergraduate studies at Baruch College CUNY in 2019. Ugeita completed her internship under the faculty supervision of Dr. Linta Varghese (Center for Ethnic Studies, BMCC CUNY) as part of The City Amplified, a public humanities project committed to supporting a working group, educational opportunities for CUNY community college students, and public programming within New York City’s 5 boroughs. It is generously supported by the Mellon Seminar on Public Engagement and Collaborative Research at the Center for the Humanities at The Graduate Center CUNY. The event itself was a collaboration of SAADA, Suzanne Mahadeo, Prithi Kanakamedala, the Center for Humanities with help from Maggie Schreiner, and many many volunteers.
