Teresa Retzer is preparing her PhD titled “Representational strategies of knowledge and truth in contemporary art practices after the Internet”. She studied Art History and Philosophy in Vienna, Siena and Zürich and she earned her M.A. with the Professor Sebastian Egenhofer in 2017. Her research is focused on contemporary art practices and media theory that engage with the influence of digital infrastructures on society such as discussing conventional and new strategies of knowledge production and representational systems within everyday media, politics, and art. She wrote art criticism for several art magazines, including Art Review, Mousse Magazine and Art Papers. In 2017 she started the research project Rechte Siedler that concentrates on current right-wing extremist subcultures in Germany.
