Sergio Mosquera is an AfroColombian Historian and Professor of History in the Department of Social Sciences at the Diego Luis Cordoba Technological University in Choco, Colombia. He is currently the Executive Director of the AfroColombian Social Foundation “Muntu-Bantu”. His áreas of interest relate to conflicts in the Mining industry in Choco, AfroColombian ethnohistory, and History of the African Diaspora. Amongst his published works are “Memorias de los últimos esclavizadores en citara”, “De esclavizadores y esclavizados”, “Disertaciones para el despertar afrocolombiano” and his most recent work published in 2012 “Influencia africana en la novela La María”.
