Patrick Greaney is an associate professor of German studies and comparative literature and director of the graduate program in critical theory at the University of Colorado at Boulder. His book about the use of quotations by artists and writers from the 1930s to the present is forthcoming in 2014. His co-translation of Heimrad Bäcker’s transcript was published in 2010 by Dalkey Archive Press. This year, Dalkey is bringing out his translation of Urs Allemann’s The Old Man and the Bench.
