Nilita Vachani is a writer and filmmaker who lives in New York and New Delhi. She has directed, produced and edited three feature-length award-winning documentaries, including When Mother Comes Home for Christmas, a film about a Sri Lankan domestic worker raising a little girl in Greece while her own children back home grow up without her. Vachani is an Associate Teacher at the Tisch School of the Arts, Dept of Undergraduate Film and Television, NYU.
