Miriam Lowi is from Montreal, Canada. Her B.A., in History and Economics, is from McGill University; her M.A. and Ph.D., in Politics, are from Princeton University. She is a professor of comparative and Middle East Politics at The College of New Jersey. In addition, She chairs the MENA wing of the Committee on Academic Freedom (MESA), and is on the Editorial Committee of the Middle East Research and Information Project (MERIP).
