Linta Varghese is an Assistant Professor of Asian and Asian American Studies at the Borough of Manhattan Community College, CUNY. Her research interests have included gender and labor in South Asian American communities and transnational financial flows between India and the Indian diaspora. Linta's current project examines mutual interest models in labor activism in the United States, particularly the domestic worker movement and is she is co-editor of a special issue of Women's Studies Quarterly focusing on the limitations and possibilities of coming together which will be available in 2019.
