Katherine R. Broad holds a PhD in English from the Graduate Center, CUNY and a BA in English and Political Science from Wellesley College. She has essays in Tulsa Studies in Women’s Literature, The Postnational Fantasy: Nationalism, Cosmopolitics, and Science Fiction, and forthcoming in Janus Head. She is currently working on a monograph, Courting Utopia: The Persistence of the Romance Plot in Contemporary Utopian Fiction, as well as a YA science fiction novel called The Columbus Experiment.
