Jackson Pollock Bar

Jackson Pollock Bar is a performance group founded in 1993, which is concerned with the “installation of theory”, i.e. performing the artist’s discourse. Works primarily involve the recreation of a significant talk, interview, or panel discussion from art history. Based in Freiberg, Germany, their work has been seen at MoMA P.S. 1 in NYC, the Getty in Los Angeles, documenta X in Kassel, the Venice Biennial, and other venues internationally.
