Ian Berry is Dayton Director of The Frances Young Tang Teaching Museum and Art Gallery at Skidmore College. Berry has organized over sixty museum exhibitions including surveys of recent drawing, painting, and appropriation art, and monographic exhibitions with artists such as Kathy Butterly, Nicole Eisenman, Nancy Grossman, Jim Hodges, Carrie Moyer, Los Carpinteros, Martin Kersels, Shahzia Sikander, Amy Sillman, Fred Tomaselli, and Kara Walker. Recent publications include Tim Rollins and K.O.S.: A History (MIT Press, 2009), Amazement Park: Stan, Sara, and Johannes VanDerBeek (DelMonico-Prestel, 2010), Nancy Grossman: Tough Life Diary (DelMonico-Prestel, 2012), and Someday is Now: The Art of Corita Kent (DelMonico-Prestel, 2013). Berry is currently working on career-spanning surveys on artists Terry Adkins and Nicholas Krushenick and an interdisciplinary exhibition with composer David Lang.
