Gillian Pistell is a PhD candidate in Art History at the Graduate Center, the City University of New York. She received her BA from Colgate University in 2008, double majoring in History and Art History, and her MA from the Graduate Program in the History of Art, Williams College, in 2010. She is currently the Research Manager for Hollis Taggart Galleries, as well as the Researcher for the Ray Johnson Estate, an artist about whom she will be writing her dissertation.
