Christina Katopodis, M.A.L.S. is an English PhD student at the CUNY Graduate Center in New York City. Her research in 19th Century American Literature explores the Transcendentalist Pragmatist underpinnings of feminist thought in America from Transcendentalism to contemporary Gender Studies. Her focus areas include Women's and Gender Studies, American Studies, Posthumanism, and Sound Studies. Christina lives in Brooklyn and teaches at Hunter College.
