Cecilia Salvi is a doctoral student in Anthropology at the Graduate Center, City University of New York. She holds Master's degrees in Spanish and Anthropology from California State University, Los Angeles. Her research focuses on the creation of value through circulation in the cartonera movement, which began in Buenos Aires during an economic crisis, and has expanded throughout Latin America. She is a Chancellor's Doctoral Incentive Program fellow. She currently serves on the Doctoral Students’ Council and is an adjunct lecturer at Baruch and City College.
