Aktina Stathaki is a graduate of the National Greek Theater. She holds a PhD in Drama from the University of Toronto. She has performed with the National Greek Theater and independent companies in Toronto, in classical and contemporary works and has directed classical and devised theater performances. In 2OO8, she founded Les Manouches, a company creating original theater work from non-dramatic texts, including poetry, short stories, and scientific texts. She is currently a Time Warner Fellow at the Women’s Project Theater Lab.
