Presidential Research Fellowship: Public Scholarship (PS2) Coordinator

June 13, 2023

EXTENDED Application Deadline: Sunday, July 23, 2023

The Center for the Humanities at CUNY Graduate Center is seeking a Presidential Research Fellow to assist in the creation, launch, and management of a new proposed Doctoral Certificate in Public Scholarship, and a suite of activities taking places under the auspices of The Public Scholarship Practice Space (PS2) housed at CUNY Center for Humanities.

PS2 at the Center for the Humanities builds on the strength of engaged research in the arts, humanities, digital humanities, social sciences, and sciences at CUNY Graduate Center, as well as the success of PublicsLab and the Seminar on Public Engagement and Collaborative Research, to facilitate both institutional and civic transformation through publicly engaged scholarship.

While the immediate need is the development and launch of the Public Scholarship certificate program, we also aim to explore four additional potential platforms: Graduate Education Transformation Grants; the Provost Summer Research Public Scholarship Fellowships; a Dissertation Innovation Lab; and Engagement & Public Programs.

This evolving position is ideal for a creative and collaboratively-minded individual with experience producing public scholarship and/or a desire to gain experience developing higher education systems that support the public good.
