Yali Hashash
Dr. Yali Hashash is a Mizrahi queer feminist academic. She has a Ph.D. in Jewish History (Haifa University, 2011) and was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Taub Center for Israeli Studies, (NYU, 2012). Her research interests include social history of the 19th and 20th-century Palestine and the Middle East, poverty, gender, nationalism, ethnicity, and religion. She is the founder and head of the Gender and Criminology program in Or Yehuda College, a founding member of the Women Historian Forum in Haifa Feminist Research Center Isha L’isha, and the co-founder of the Oral History Lab. Her book, “Whose Daughter Are You – Ways of Speaking Mizrahi Feminism,” was published in 2022. Dr. Hashash is currently a fellow at the Frankel Center for Judaic Center at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
