My internship with GOLES will provide me with the experience of working with local community members and youth as partners to transform how climate justice is discussed in low-income, marginalized communities. This unique opportunity brings me joy by empowering the community to take ownership of how climate change impacts their community. Too often Black and Brown people are not at the table when it comes to Climate Change; this program hopes to change that.
