The Center for the Humanities at the CUNY Graduate Center

The Center for the Humanities at the CUNY Graduate Center
encourages collaborative, creative and engaged work in the humanities
and social sciences at CUNY and across the city through innovative
programming, digital and print publications, and project-based public
scholarship. Our main platforms are the Mellon Seminar on Public
Engagement and Collaborative Research, Lost & Found: The CUNY
Poetics Document Initiative, The CUNY Adjunct Incubator, with the
Gittell Urban Studies Collective, and Women’s Studies Quarterly,
with Feminist Press and the Center for the Study of Women and Society.
The Center has long resourced multisectoral, intersectional work from an
environmental justice standpoint, including initiatives like ECHO
(Environmental Community Humanities Oasis) facilitated by Dr. Ryan
Mann-Hamilton, Archives in Common: Migrant Practices / Knowledges /
Memory, facilitated by Dr. Ángeles Donoso Macaya, On the Line: Land Use,
Food Access, Climate Justice and Organizing in New York City,
facilitated by Dr. Naomi Schiller, the Climate Action Lab, facilitated
by Dr. Ashley Dawson, Caribbean Epistemologies facilitated by Dr. Herman
Bennett, and the student-led Environmental Studies Working Group. To
