Stephen Wright

Stephen Wright is a theorist, writer, curator and independent researcher interested in theoretical alternatives to current capitalist frameworks of the contemporary art world. Wright’s work revolves around the use value of art and society, focusing on collective work that exists beyond objects, authorship and spectatorship. Wright has curated a number of exhibitions including The Future of the Reciprocal Ready-made at ApexArt in New York, and Rumour as Media in Istanbul. He is the former program director of le collage internationale de philosophie in Paris, former corresponding editor of Parachute Magazine, and is currently on the editorial advisory committee of the journal Third Text.
