Steffie Kinglake

Steffie Kinglake is a social impact and narrative change strategist currently working at the NYC Health Department’s Center for Health Equity and Community Wellness. In her current role, she leads and supports the development of internal and external infrastructure and capacity to address root causes of health inequities and to build narrative power. Through partnerships, she integrates cultural and storytelling strategies and advances shared leadership and community-driven program design models. Steffie has led storytelling, media and art-based projects for organizations and initiatives in Barcelona and NYC relating to topics such as birth equity, diabetes prevention, redlining, health care reform, food justice, gun violence prevention, disability and elderly rights, and racial justice. She has directed several non-profits and presented at multiple United Nations conferences about the role of the arts for social change. Steffie received her BA in Government and Latin American Studies from Wesleyan University and her Masters of Public Health from City University of New York. She loves beaches and traveling with her family.
