Shuranjeet Singh
Shuranjeet Singh is the founder and director of Taraki, a not-for-profit organisation that works with Punjabi communities to reshape approaches to mental health. Shuranjeet founded Taraki after his experiences of mental health challenges which occurred whilst a student. Taraki currently works with Punjabi communities all around the UK and connects with a global social media audience on the topics of awareness, education, social support, and research. Taraki strives to take a reflexive, intersectional, and asset-based approach to its work with Punjabi communities.
Concurrently, Shuranjeet is also a Lived Experience Consultant with the Wellcome Trust’s Mental Health Priority Area, as well as being on the interim board of directors for the Healthy Brains Global Initiative. Shuranjeet is interested in how grassroots realities and academic research inform implementable policy.
