Sara Ahmed
Sara Ahmed is Professor of Race and Cultural Studies at Goldsmiths College, University of London. She has previously worked in Women’s Studies at Lancaster. She works at the intersection of feminist and queer theory, cultural studies and critical race and postcolonial theory. Her books include On Being Included: Racism and Diversity in Institutional Life, which is forthcoming with Duke University Press in 2012; The Promise of Happiness (2010); Queer Phenomenology: Orientations, Objects and Others (2006); The Cultural Politics of Emotion (2004); Strange Encounters: Embodied Others in Post-Coloniality (2000) as well as Differences That Matter: Feminist Theory and Postmodernism (1998). She is currently working on a book on will and willfulness.
