Ross Benjamin

Ross Benjamin’s translations include Franz Kafka’s Diaries, Friedrich Hölderlin’s Hyperion, Joseph Roth’s Job, and Daniel Kehlmann’s You Should Have Left and Tyll, which was shortlisted for the 2020 International Booker Prize. A former Guggenheim Fellow, he won the Helen and Kurt Wolff Translator’s Prize for his translation of Michael Maar’s Speak, Nabokov. His translation of Daniel Kehlmann’s The Director will be published in 2025 by Summit Books.
