Rocio Silverio

Rocio Silverio is a South Bronx-based activist with a B.A. in Africana Studies from Hunter College/City University of New York. She is currently a community health educator with a focus on diabetes in the Bronx. She has a background in youth leadership development and has been involved in a number of human rights campaigns with the International Action Center, Occupy Wall Street (Prisoner Solidarity Working Group) and The Legacy Circle. The struggle for Haitian-Dominican citizenship rights has moved her to collaborate with the coalitions We Are All Dominican and Dominican@s X Derecho NY.
