Meredith Mowder

Meredith Mowder is a Ph.D. student in Art History at the Graduate Center, where she studies modern and contemporary art. Her research focuses primarily on the intersections between art and music in the postwar period. The recipient of an Enhanced Chancellor’s Fellowship from the Graduate Center and a Graduate Teaching Fellowship, Meredith teaches courses on contemporary art and sound art at Hunter College. She is also a Joan Tisch Teaching Fellow at the Whitney Museum of American Art. Meredith has contributed to numerous publications including essays published in Twice Drawn: Modern and Contemporary Drawings in Context (The Tang Museum, 2012) After Images (Jewish Museum of Belgium, 2011) and Confrontation (Long Island University, 2013).
