Madeline Murphy Turner
Madeline Murphy Turner is a Ph.D. Candidate at New York University’s Institute of Fine Arts, where she focuses on modern and contemporary art from Latin America. Her dissertation examines women’s collective artist books, galleries, theater, and spectacles in contemporary Mexico. From 2017 to 2018, she was the Graduate Curatorial Assistant at the Grey Art Gallery, NYU. Madeline has taught courses in NYU’s Department of Art History and Steinhardt Department of Art and Art Professions. She has published articles in the Brooklyn Rail, Damn Magazine, Hyperallergic, and Art Margins.
