Julie Agoos
Julie Agoos is the author of three collections of poetry, PROPERTY (Ausable/Copper Canyon, 2008), winner of the Brooklyn College/CUNY Creative Achievement Award, CALENDAR YEAR (Sheep Meadow Press, 1996), and ABOVE THE LAND, selected by James Merrill for the Yale Series of Younger Poets Award and winner of the Towson State University Prize for Literature (Yale University Press, 1987). A past Resident Fellow of The Frost Place, in Franconia, NH, and winner of The Grolier Poetry Prize and the Lloyd McKim Garrison Prize for Poetry, she directs the MFA Program in Poetry at Brooklyn College/CUNY, where she is a Professor of English. She lives with her family in Nyack, NY.
