Elvira Basevich

Dr. Elvira Basevich is an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at University of Massachusetts, Lowell. Her research areas are social and political philosophy, Africana philosophy, and late modern German philosophy, especially Kant and Marx. She received her Ph.D. in Philosophy from The Graduate Center, CUNY and my BA from Hunter College, CUNY. And her current research focuses on W.E.B. Du Bois’s theory of justice, which she bases on his critique of 19th- and 20th-century American democracy.
