Edward D. Miller

Edward D. Miller is Professor of Media Culture at the College of Staten Island. He is also on the faculty of the Ph.D Program in Theatre and the Film Studies Certificate Program at the Graduate Center. Miller is the author of Emergency Broadcasting and 1930s American Radio (Temple University Press; 2003) and Tomboys, Pretty Boys, and Outspoken Women: 1973 Media Revolution (University of Michigan Press; 2012) and many other scholarly publications on the history and aesthetics of media and film. His creative work chronicles encounters with place and memory and appears in Hinchas de Poesia, Red Fez, Boston Literary Magazine, Wilderness House Literary Review, Coldnoon: International Journal of Travel Writing, The Bangalore Review, Crack the Spine, Drunk Monkeys, Bloodstone Review,and Counterexample Poetics. 

Miller has also worked as a faculty coleader in the Mediating the Archive research group of the 2014-2016 Seminar on Public Engagement and Collaborative Research.
