Debra Lennard
Debra Lennard is a PhD candidate in the Art History program at the Graduate Center. Her research focuses on modern art in global perspective, with her interests including modernisms formed in colonial and decolonial contexts; international networks and exchanges that grew out of debates over form post-1945; and issues of visuality in the representation of race. Before joining the PhD program in Art History, Debra held the position of Curatorial Assistant at Hayward Gallery, London. Prior to that role she worked in curatorial capacities at institutions including The Museum of Modern Art, Tate Britain, and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. Debra earned her BA in English Literature from the University of Cambridge, and received her MA in the History of Art from the Courtauld Institute of Art. Her writing on art has appeared in publications including frieze and Hyperallergic.
