David Schur
David Schur is a Professor of Classics at Brooklyn
College and this semester is teaching a class on Sophocles’ poetics at
the Graduate Center. He earned a PhD in Comparative Literature from
Harvard University. He is a Hellenist with emphasis on languages and
literatures, and special interests in literary rhetoric and style,
comparative poetics, pedagogy and practice of close reading, Plato,
Sophocles, Homer.
