Carina Alessandro, a junior at Brooklyn College and Macaulay Honors College, is looking towards a career in climate policy, and values imperative connections to and insight from climate justice communities. Therefore, she is excited for the climate justice actions the NYC CJH and its fellows such as she will work towards with that knowledge and support, and the positive, transformative impact it can have. She also aims to establish a connection with the hub with the Brooklyn College Sustainability Club, of which she is president, to help tie together the hub’s efforts and her campus community. Additionally, Carina loves making miniatures and jewelry for her friends, reading fiction and listening to music, and hanging out with her four birds.
