Ambassador Jorge Valero

AmbassadorJorge Valero is the Permanent Representative of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the United Nations, and the Deputy Foreign Minister for North America and Multilateral Affairs. He is the author and co-author of several books and essays, including The Awakening of the Stones, “Venezuela before the OAS,” and “International Diplomacy and the 1945 coup d’état.” He has held many academic and state appointments in Venezuela and abroad, and received the Municipal Literature Award: Historical Investigation, in 2001.
