CUNY Students: the NYC Climate Justice Hub wants your input! Sharing the Student Survey on Climate and Environmental Justice
October 27, 2024
Are you concerned about the climate harms that are affecting Black, Brown, Indigenous, and working-class communities across New York City? Do you think about extreme heat, pollution, or poor waste management and want to share your views?
Then, we want to hear directly from you about the climate justice issues that matter most to you and your community. The 2024-2025 Hub’s Climate Justice Fellows just launched a survey to gather CUNY students’ perspectives on climate justice issues on their campuses and neighborhoods.
This survey will help us understand the landscape of student organizing around environmental justice (EJ), climate justice (CJ), and other intersecting social justice issues you care about.
Findings from this survey will be used to help inform Fellows’ projects addressing climate and environmental issues across CUNY. Responses will remain anonymous and will only be shared with NYC Climate Justice Hub Staff and Fellows. This survey should take roughly 14 minutes to fill out. Take it before Wednesday, November 24, 2024!
The Hub’s Fellowship Program consists of 20 Fellows and 5 Interns from across @cunyedu campuses. We aim to connect with CUNY students to spread awareness and learn about climate justice issues and initiatives on each campus.
The NYC Climate Justice Hub is a partnership between the NYC Environmental Justice Alliance (NYC-EJA) and CUNY. Our mission is to support NYC-EJA’s efforts to realize climate justice for New York City’s underserved, working-class communities of color.
