A Christian, a Magician, and a Buddhist walk into the desert in the 13th Century. What follows is a satirical exploration of big business, religion, and love. This staged adaptation of Marco Millions, O’Neill’s fictionalized account of the life and travels of Marco Polo, uses the base text as a launching point for a linguistic and thematic translation by CUNY students, staff, and alumni, in collaboration with Target Margin Theater.
Come enter a world where Marco can now speak Hindi, German, Japanese, Portuguese, Spanish, and English, and where the messengers can be news reporters. This is the story of Marco Polo, but it is also the story of the cast’s interpretation of this obscure O’Neill play.
Tickets are free, but please reserve online here.
