Friends, family and scholars of Black Mountain poet Edward Dorn gather for an evening of music, poetry, and conversation to celebrate his uncollected poems, published by the London-based Enitharmon Press. Bringing together over five hundred pages of work not included in Dorn’s recent Collected Poems (Carcanet, 2012), Derelict Air includes work from every phase of the poet’s five-decade career, from Beat poems of the early fifties to his nineties evisceration of neo-Roman America. In addition to reading from Dorn’s work, participants at the event will be reading and performing their own work. Copies will be on sale at the launch at a discounted price.
