At year’s end, we are taking this moment to share the Center for the Humanities’ Annual Report for 2016-2017, which reflects on our many activities last academic year.
Inside, you can read about our pilot Seminar on Public Engagement and Collaborative Research; the initial stages of its second, expanded iteration to support public humanities activities at CUNY through 2019; series VI of Lost & Found: The CUNY Poetics Document Initiative; 8 interdisciplinary student and faculty working groups; and over 70 public events.
In 2018, we will host a wide array of public programs and student conferences on topics including activism in academia, reparations and the performing arts, and the labor of caregiving; launch Series VII of Lost & Found;continue to support creative and scholarly work at CUNY through numerous student fellowships and professional development opportunities for adjuncts; and promote collaborative work with community partners around New York City that extends from CUNY classrooms to digital platforms and beyond.
We hope that you will join us in the New Year!
